DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, SANA - A car bomb (a taxi) on Tuesday blew up in Tishreen neighborhood in Jaramana city, Damascus Countryside, during the escorting of two martyrs who were killed in the previous day in a terrorist blast in the city.

An official source told SANA reporter that the explosion of the car, which was parked near a cemetery in the abovementioned neighborhood, killed 12 citizens and injured 48 others, some in critical condition, in addition to damaging some of the surrounding buildings.

Early on the day, a family of two parents and their girl child were injured in the city due to a blast of an explosive device which terrorists had stuck to their car.

The Injured: The Terrorist Act Will Not Weaken the Syrians

Yazan Rukab, 18, one of the injured in the bombing lying in Jaramana Hospital, highlighted in a statement to SANA the hatred nursed by the criminals who carried out the terrorist blast against the Syrian people who have stood firm in the face of the conspiracy hatched against their country.

"These crimes will not weaken the steadfastness and determination of the Syrian people," said William Shiya, another injured citizen, who strongly denounced the terrorist act which targeted a funeral procession for a number of martyrs killed the previous day in another terrorist act.

"I was at home when the blast happened…Our house' façade was smashed and a number of my family members were injured," said Ghazal al-Atrash, 16, who still was in a state of panic and shock.

She called for inflicting punishment upon the criminals who "are seeking to destroy the life of the safe Syrians."

Dr. Bashar Rabah at al-Radi specialized hospital told SANA reporter that they received scores of injured people, at least 10 of them were in critical condition, to whom first aid treatment was applied.

He added that a number of the injured were transferred to Damascus Hospital because of their serious cases.

For his part, Director of Damascus Hospital, Dr. Adib Mahmoud, said 25 of the serious cases received by the hospital needed surgery, noting that 10 operation rooms have been preoccupied.

The fact that funeral procession included all members of mourning families, some of these families were inflicted with cases of martyrdom and injury among their members.

The 15-year-old Mohannad Mohammad Alloulo was martyred in the bombing, while his three-year-younger sister Alaa was injured lying on a bed in one of the emergency department's rooms at Damascus Hospital.

"My sister was playing with her friends outside the house when she heard the boom. She fell to the ground and couldn't move," said Alla's brother, Mustafa, who was sitting by her side.

"Those who are killing mourners and children can't be Syrians," Mustafa added, stressing that the Syrian Arab Army will eliminate the terrorists and foil their backers in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Damascus Countryside Governor: The Terrorist Act Represents the Highest Degree of Criminality

Damascus Countryside Governor, Hussein Makhlouf, along with the Commander of the Police Department in the province, visited the injured in the hospitals and checked their condition, wishing them a speedy recovery.

"This terrorist bombing represents the highest degree of criminality as it targets innocent mourners," said Governor Makhlouf, asking that God has mercy upon the souls of the martyrs.

Al-Moallem: We Believe that the USA is the Major Player against Syria and the Rest are Its Instruments

Aug 29, 2012

LONDON, SANA – Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem affirmed that We belive the USA is the major player against Syria and the rest are its instruments under its control.

In an interview with the British newspaper the Independent conducted by journalist Robert Fisk, al-Moallem said that America is behind Syria's violence, and that he doesn't understand its slogan of fighting international terrorism when it's supporting terrorism in Syria.

He pointed out that over 60% of the country's violence comes from abroad, specifically from Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with the United States exercising its influence over all others, adding "When the Americans say, 'We are supplying the opposition with sophisticated instruments of telecommunications', isn't this part of a military effort, when they supply the opposition with USD 25 million?"

Al-Moallem pointed out that the goal of what is happening in Syria is to pressure it regarding its relations with Iran and resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon, saying "We were told by some Western envoy at the beginning of this crisis that relations between Syria and Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, Syria and Hamas are the major elements behind this crisis. If we settle this issue, they will help end the crisis."

He went on to say that the Americans succeeded in frightening the Gulf countries about Iran's nuclear capabilities, persuading them to buy arms from the US and fulfilling Franklin Roosevelt's 1936 dream of maintaining bases for oil transportation.

Regarding the European positions towards the Syrian crisis, al-Moallem said "I tell the Europeans: I don't understand your slogan about the welfare of the Syrian people when you are supporting 17 resolutions against the welfare of the Syrian people."

As for Qatari-Syrian relations, al-Moallem noted that Qatar was the one who reneged on these relations, saying that he met Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha in November 2011 when the Arab League launched its initiative which led to sending observers to Syria, pointing out that during this meeting, Hamad told him "If you agree to this initiative, I will change the attitude of Al Jazeera and I will tell Sheikh Yusef al-Qaradawi to support Syria and reconciliation, and I have put down some billions of dollars to rebuild Syria."

He added that he asked Hamad about having had very close relations with Muammar Gaddafi and why he sent his aircrafts to attack Libya and be part of NATO, with Hamad responding by saying simply "Because we don't want to lose our momentum in Tunis and Egypt."

Al-Moallem stressed that the crisis started with legitimate demands subsequently addressed by legislation and reforms and even a new constitution, but then came foreign elements who used these legitimate demands to hijack the peaceful agenda of the people.

"I don't accept as a citizen to return back centuries to a regime which can bring Syria backwards. In principle …no government in the world can accept an armed terrorist group, some of them coming from abroad, controlling streets and villages in the name of jihad," he said, adding that as a Syrian citizen, he is sad to see what's happening in Syria, compared with how it was two years ago.

"There are many Syrians like me – eager to see Syria return to the old days when we were proud of our security," he concluded.

Moscow Calls on U.S., EU to Lift Sanctions against Syria

UN, August 31 (RIA Novosti)

Russia has called on the United States and the European Union to immediately lift all unilateral sanctions their imposed in regard to Syria, Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said.

On July 23 the EU passed the 17th set of sanctions against Syria, including a tougher arms embargo, in response to escalating violence in the Arab country. Russia said the new sanctions amount to an actual blockade of Syria, which contradicts the decisions of UN Security Council and the Geneva Agreements.

Speaking at the UN Security Council meeting on Syria on Thursday, Churkin said that Russia calls on “the countries, which imposed anti-Syrian sanctions, to lift them off immediately.”

“These sanctions, imposed bypassing the UN Security Council, have nothing in common with real efforts to settle the Syrian crisis and only complicate lives of ordinary citizens and deprive them of the possibility to satisfy their own elementary needs and comprehensively employ human rights,” Churkin said.

Western powers say that the bulk of responsibility for the bloodshed lies with the Syrian government and insist on President Bashar al-Assad’s resignation as the only way to end the crisis, which has already claimed up to 20,000 lives according to Syrian activists.

Russia has foiled Western attempts to force Assad from power, vetoing three UN Security Council resolutons against him. Moscow says Syrians themselves should decide on Assad's future in the country’s politics.

Syrian Rebels Threaten Attacks on Airports

MOSCOW, August 31 (RIA Novosti)

The Free Syria Army has warned airlines to suspend service to Damascus and Aleppo, saying rebel forces could begin attacking airports in the two cities as early as next Tuesday, the London-based daily Asharq Alawsat reported on Friday, citing the FSA's high command.

“The civil airports of Damascus and Aleppo may become targets of FSA attacks beginning on Tuesday next week, since they are being used by the criminal regime for military aviation to carry out strikes against Syrian rebels,” the report said.

The Syrian air force was forced to begin using civil airports as bases due to a string of successful rebel attacks on military bases, including one on an airfield near Idlib that destroyed 10 military planes, it said.

Analysts said the rebel statement was mainly aimed at drawing attention to the regime’s use of civil airports for military aviation, which is a violation of international agreements, the paper said.

DAMASCUS, SANA - The terrorist Mohammad Walid al-Assadi admitted that he infiltrated into Syria within a 15-member group to carry out terrorist acts inside Syria.

In his confessions broadcast on the Syrian TV on Thursday, al-Assadi, who is of Lebanese-Palestinian descent, said his group received military training at the hands of the salafi trend in Lebanon under the leadership of Ahmad al-Asir, who has been running a camp to train mercenaries in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon who were to be sent to fight in Syria.

The terrorist added that the camp and the training were funded by parties from Saudi Arabia and Qatar and from al-Mustaqbal movement in Lebanon.

Al-Assadi told the Syrian TV that he and his colleagues received lessons in 'Jihad' and they were asked to regard followers of other religious sects as 'disbelievers' who must be fought to create 'an Islamist caliphate' in the world.

"We were called on to go and back 'the mujahideen' in Syria," said al-Assadi, pointing out that they were trained in physical fitness and using weapons first at a mosque in Sidon and then in another area near Eid al-Hilweh camp.

"One of our trainers was someone nicknamed as Abu Omar and had been trained in Libya for a year," al-Assadi noted.

He explained that they were trained how to use Russian-made machineguns and RPG launchers and were rewarded for hitting the target with USD 100.

"The money came from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and it was enough to spend on us so that we wouldn't need to work," said the terrorist, adding that the trainees were allocated USD 3,000 as a monthly salary that was put at the Islamic Bank for their families to benefit from in case they were killed in Syria.

"Our trainers and funders were from al-Mustaqbal movement led by Saad al-Hariri," said al-Assadi.

He narrated the story of how the terrorists were helped enter Syria through Talkalakh city in Homs across the river where they were received by someone called Abu Adnan, who al-Assadi said was responsible for receiving the terrorists and arming them and distributing them to the Syrian provinces.

Al-Assadi said he was caught by a security patrol on the highway near the coastal city of Lattakia, where he was to carry out a suicide operation.

Syrian crisis closer and closer to anarchy

06.09.2012

The Syrian crisis has entered a new phase. There has been a positive trend among the opposition to conduct pragmatic negotiations with the authorities, and "irreconcilable" actually demonstrated their ideological and tactical similarities to a terrorist organization. Turning to terrorism, they direct attacks at Alawites, Christians and threatening civil aviation.

On Monday, in Jaramani - Damascus area, inhabited by Christians, a car was blown up. Five are dead, nearly 30 wounded, among them women and children. This is the third attack in Jaramani last week.

Starting Tuesday, as rebels said, they intend to shoot down civilian planes traveling to Damascus and Aleppo. According to them, the Assad regime uses them to deliver military supplies from the allies. For these purposes the armed opposition has 20 MANPADS, that, as recently reported by the regional media, were obtained by the rebels through Turkey from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The rebels have promised to carry out terrorist attacks against civilian airports.

The Russian Foreign Ministry urged Russians not to travel to Syria - for the second time since the Syrian conflict. The government recommends that Russians who live in this country use "safe exit routes."

Moscow turned to the capitals whose leaders may influence the armed opposition, called for work on militants to stop those threats: "If the threats of the Syrian army are implemented in practice, full responsibility for the consequences will fall not only on the direct perpetrators, but also on their supporters". The Foreign Ministry said that the threat was "absolutely unacceptable" and violated the Chicago Convention of 1944 "On International Civil Aviation." The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Syrian armed opposition now is not much different from a known terrorist organization. "From a moral and legal point of view it means the critical closeness of the opposition to the "red line" behind which its actions are no different from the crimes of "Al- Qaeda."

Russia, as before, is engaged in a dialogue with all parties to the Syrian conflict. On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation with the Russian Ambassador to Syria Riad Haddad. The conversation was about a broad national dialogue, as prescribed by the Geneva communique "Action Group" and plan of Kofi Annan, UN and the Arab League Special Envoy, who held the post until September 1, 2012. Moscow is still confident that the two documents have a necessary and sufficient basis for a settlement. So far, no permanent members of the UN Security Council or the new UN Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi and PAH were able to offer anything more sensible and pragmatic like an end to violence, the negotiations with all parties to the conflict, or the creation of a transitional government composed of   representatives of the regime and the opposition.

According to official reports, the Syrian authorities agree to the implementation of the Annan Plan and the Geneva communique, but there is no peaceful process. The regime cannot stop the armed conflict in the situation when militants do not want to surrender.

On Tuesday, September 4, talks were held in Moscow between Bogdanov and the representatives of Syria's internal opposition that, according to the events of recent days, is very important in the settlement. The delegation included representatives of the "Coalition forces for peaceful change," a parliamentary opposition. Russia shows respect to this part of the opposition. The program of their stay in Moscow includes meetings at the Foreign Ministry, the Federation Council, and the media. Once again Russia explained to the opposition that it is time to negotiate with the government.

Another Syrian opposition organization - the National Coordination Committee - recently launched an initiative similar to the Annan plan and the Geneva communique, which pleased Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. "The initiative of the Committee meets the interest of an early recovery from the crisis and prevention of growth of the number of victims," he said.

The Syrian crisis has entered a new phase: the opposition shows a positive trend for conducting pragmatic negotiations with the authorities, and the "irreconcilable" actually demonstrated their ideological and tactical similarities to a terrorist organization.

The West, meanwhile, continues to support the opposition. Here two things are dangerous: the attempts to create a buffer zone in Syria for refugees headed into the neighboring states, and the search for chemical weapons, the existence of which recently was officially declared by Damascus. If this and other projects are implemented, the collapse of Syria will become a reality.

In this situation, the position of the new special representative of the UN and the Arab League against Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, who assumed his post on September 1, is very important. His plan of action is unknown, but some of his approaches to the Syrian settlement are obvious. First, he made it clear that a military solution to the crisis is not acceptable, "Military intervention in Syria would mean the failure of diplomatic efforts. For me, this option does not exist, and, frankly, it will not exist tomorrow or the day after tomorrow." According to the TV channel Al-Arabiya, Brahimi, who had a consultation with the Arab countries, has assured that the state is not considering the introduction of its troops to Syria.

Second, he believes that the government is responsible for the situation and implementation of a settlement plan more than the opposition. He said that the Syrian government needs to meet the demands of the people who want change. And, finally, Brahimi has determined his attitude towards the armed opposition that immediately after his appointment began to demand from him a tough stance against Assad. He told the opposition that he was not going to join their movement. He added that he was working for two international organizations - the UN and the Arab League, and did not speak the same language as the opposition.

In a BBC interview the Algerian diplomat, speaking about the challenges in front of him, said that he knew how hard it was, nearly impossible. However, he added that he was not saying that it was impossible, but "nearly" so. He stated that he agreed to this position with his eyes open, without any illusions. In addition, he expressed confidence that there will be many resolutions. The most important thing now is to stop the bloodshed.

Syria: Western-backed terrorists commit atrocities

04.10.2012

As if the murder of 20,000 civilians and security forces was not enough, the terrorist scourge inflicting itself upon Syrian society, raping women, torturing, beheading, looting, torching, murdering journalists, is also wantonly destroying the country's singular and unique cultural heritage.

In cultural terms, Syria, home to the Ancient Assyrians, is a jewel. Its cities are the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, its culture stretches back seven thousand years. The ancient languages Maalua, Aramaic, and Syriac are still spoken in some areas, the many peoples and religious groups have until now lived together in peace.

Enter front stage the British duo David Cameron and William Hague, the French (wannabe Napoleons who have suddenly discovered it is cool to crawl round the legs of their Anglo-Saxon masters) and the (who else?) Americans, Barack Obama and his sinister little side-kick, Hillary War Zone Clinton. What is the result?

As we saw in Libya, chaos and terrorism, sown by the FUKUS Trio (France, UK, US) and the donkeys it rides in the Middle East, bedpals Qatar and Saudi Arabia. As we saw in Libya, little girls were raped, household pets were pulled apart or shot or burnt, boys were tortured, men were butchered, women had their breasts sliced off, ethnic cleansing was practised against black Libyans who had their throats slit, properties were torched and looted, people were tortured and dismembered as NATO's darlings once again engaged in organs trafficking.

And now in Syria, quite apart from the disgusting behaviour of the FUKUS-backed terrorists, perpetrating the same evils, we have wholesale and wanton desecration of Syria's unique historical and cultural heritage by this western-backed filth, much of it non-Syrian. Irina Bokova, the Director-General of UNESCO, has said that she is "devastated" at what is going on, especially in Aleppo, where the ancient network of market-places in some areas has been reduced to rubble by groups of terrorists.

Groups of armed thugs have also engaged in looting and smuggling priceless ancient statues, and bearded maniacs have been scrawling obscenities and graffiti on the walls of Ancient Greek and Roman temples. This filth has also been accused of attacking fortresses dating back hundreds and thousands of years and trying to destroy their masonry.

Those directly responsible are those countries and agencies backing these terrorists. It is illegal, it goes against every single document, treaty, agreement and covenant in international law and it is as inhumane as it is totally indecent and unacceptable.

Yet in this day and age the leaders of the FUKUS Axis seem free to do what they like, break the laws they wish to break and walk around freely as if nothing had happened. Kind of a telling statement on what humankind has become.

Homs: Dozens of terrorists liquidated

07.10.2012

Dozens of terrorists have been exterminated in the Syrian province of Homs on the Lebanese border; other groups of terrorists were liquidated by the Syrian Armed Forces in other areas. In some, many of these terrorists were Turkish nationals. What are Turks doing in Syria? Are these "attacks" against Turkey no more than false flag operations?

Would anyone put it past the FUKUS Axis (France, UK, US) to cook up a cauldron of stew in Syria given that their darling pet terrorists (many Libyans, many Turks) are losing their proxy war, would anyone put it past the FUKUS Axis to order their terrorist darlings to launch mortars against Turkish territory so as to blame the Syrian Armed Forces and therefore involve NATO?

In fact these days, does the FUKUS Axis or NATO have any credibility at all? The answer is a resounding NO and this is due to a huge extent to the free alternative media, albeit confronted with massive hacking (cyber terrorist) operations sponsored by...guess who? Correct! The countries that run screaming when they are the victims of terrorism.

In Libya, the FUKUS Axis took advantage of the "Revolutions" in Tunisia and Egypt (which it backed) and sent its terrorist filth to commit disgusting and shocking crimes against the civilian population: rape, murder, torture, arson, looting...rendering the FUKUS Axis liable for criminal charges (*)

In Syria, the Army is fighting alongside its President, Bashar al-Assad against the western-backed terrorist filth infesting civilian areas, raping girls and women, torturing boys and men, as NATO's terrorist darlings do. One has only to look at NATO's concentration camps in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay to see the mettle and evil of this organisation and its leaders.

Sodomy, urinating in food, forced consumption of pork for Moslems, attacking detainees with dogs, wiring genitals up with electric wires, beatings, you name it, NATO did it and the FUKUS Axis is the spearhead of this Axis of Evil.

In Syria, the FUKUS-Axis is meeting its maker. Today, in the Province of Homs, dozens of western-backed terrorist elements were exterminated by the Syrian Armed Forces and a base which this filth infested in al-Qusayr was destroyed along with the elements within.

North of Aleppo, on Saturday, waves of terrorists came into Syrian territory from Turkey and most were exterminated, including Turkish nationals among the terrorist hordes.

Such is the behaviour of NATO and its minions today. Strange, when they get what they deserve, they run screaming like the cowards they are.
